It would be too easy and tedious in just finding the emeralds So here you have it. Chaos Emerald Guardians. Once you recieve an emerald, it's up to you what you do with it.
When the answer of the divison equation is a decimal number, round down to the nearest whole number.
Panel 8 must've caught the attention of rogue-classed characters and almost forgot.
The max amount of characters that can challenge a guardian at one time is 2. Little EXP is gained by fighting these guys, because you could just level up much faster than they do by defeating all seven of them, so where's the challenge in that?!
Finally I think that when someone uses their chaos ability with the chaos emeralds, they should gain less EXP than they normally would.
As Chezznee said, questions and suggestions are cool with me.

Otherwise, here's my Boss suggestion.

He said they disappear after they're used.

Tellin the weaknesses to me isn't the best idea. If their suppose to be such great guardians finding the weakness should be part of getting the choas emeralds. But i'm not tryin to tell you not to do it. Its your subject so teach how you like. =)

Personally I'm against the Super Form Idea. If it has to Exist, make it a buyable item, like "Essence of Chaos" or something (30 secs Super when consumed).

Instead, why not have the Chaos Emeralds create Armour? Each part can be forged into different parts of it (Helmet, Cape, Boots). And when you collect them all, you acqiure one of the strongest full-set armour in the game (With possibly a temporary Super Form as it's perk, and cannot be stolen, unlike it's singular parts.). The only problem is contradiction with multiple sets of Chaos Emeralds going around.

Also, to resolve Wolf's idea I like the armour, and there's a 20% (can be edited) chance that the emerald is a Fake Emerald...

EDIT: I'll be explaining dungeons when I finish the comic.

Hmm... fake Items gave me an idea. How about a Salesman profession? Basically the better the salesman, the more they can sell an item for. A good enough one might even be able to sell fake items as a real one. But they have to be careful as if they are caught, they can be arrested for it.

Why not just have a whole set of social professions that all charectors have low levels in from the get go.

I doubt the Salesman professions can get off the ground, and the same applies to Terminal Devastation's suggestion. Both are nice ideas, but wouldn't work here.
In other news, I've finished the comic and will post it when I can.

What if every race has a unique Chaos ability that needs the Chaos Emeralds to work? *just thought of that*

Reply Blitz-Teneson, November 10th, 2009, 8:13 am

Hmm....yeah! That sounds neat yo.

Reply Phoenix of Chaos, November 10th, 2009, 8:56 am

I'll think of them right now.

Reply Blitz-Teneson, November 10th, 2009, 9:46 am

@PoC: Alright cool. I think I got a way which it can work out(from whatever chaos ability a race has, one of their stats is doubled and another is multiplied by 1.5(of course if the value is a decimal, then gotta round down) and while this chaos ability is active, the Mana power falls by 2% of the max MP each second(so the ability should last around 50 seconds considering that no magic-based attacks are used) and when the mana runs out, the ability is finished being used.) So for example the super form doubles the strength and multiplies the agility by 1.5. Stuff like that.

I think I got one for humans; "Intellectual Burst", which doubles the intelligence(also doubling the mp)and multiplies the strength by 1.5 . How's that sound?

Edit @ Deviljet: Good point. I'll just tell the strengths, but i'l make it so the strengths give a bit of a clue about their weakness(if possible).

Not quite what I had in mind, and that limits me to 5*4 races, which is about... 20. No, what I was thinking was something else entirely. It'll still be related to the race, but it shouldn't multiply stats unless I can't think of anything else.
