Not really. If you're an author, post it like everyone else has. If not, apply then do so when (or if) your application is accepted.

Erm, just re-read it. I put up a better system for others to read that I can actually explain.

Reply Phoenix of Chaos, November 7th, 2009, 5:35 pm

The revised system does seem "jack-of-all-trades"y, especially when you consider that's kind of what's happening with the Shifter's formes.

Reply Weaver Tyialo, November 7th, 2009, 5:42 pm

To be honest, I don't think i ever read the shifter forms. And yeah. Freelancers are a Jack of all trades, but a Master of none. In reality, they aren't ideal. Most people choose a class because they know that going into it all the way to the end will allow you the most powerful items. Going into a freelancer, you're always held back. And the only difference to before is now you have to choice of what class you start off with, and it allows you to advance to different points. Last time, it was a forced order, and you would have always been stopped at the half-way points.

Reply Phoenix of Chaos, November 7th, 2009, 5:50 pm

Technically, if you went for Warrior, Priest and Mage in that order, you'd have the perfect soloer... and Wolf explained the formes in the next comic

Reply Weaver Tyialo, November 7th, 2009, 5:53 pm

Huh. I just learned something. Is that a good or bad thing? And yeah. I noticed that the difference is that Freelancers are limited in the power of their class choices. Shifters forms are able to grow stronger as they level, right?

Reply Phoenix of Chaos, November 7th, 2009, 6:06 pm

That's right, and they get better if you use them more.

Reply Weaver Tyialo, November 7th, 2009, 6:11 pm

Yeah. Once you get to the restriction point, these don't get better. But I still like it. I'm not sure how many points I should give anyway.

Reply Phoenix of Chaos, November 7th, 2009, 6:19 pm

If you're on about half-stats, I'll PM you the details later.

Reply Weaver Tyialo, November 7th, 2009, 6:29 pm

As I've stated. I have no idea what those are. I was talking about the "points" mentioned in the panel. Which tell you how far you can get in each class. IE: you get 9, and split them evenly between the three classes you mentioned.
