A few extra notes:
I'm re-suggesting an altered Puppeteer mainly because I'm not quite sure why it's not official, it seemed to be well recieved. I took the talent parts out of it. I'm thinking that the Puppeteers' skill now involves just bringing the minions to life rather than the building of it. Most of the minion possiblities are covered quite well in the manufacturing skills, except for wooden and porcelin Dolls. But the actual bring them to life is not covered (These aren't robots, they're magical, so engineering might not cover that). Although if PoC meant that anyone could build a minion, I'm -quite- fine with that.

I'm hoping the percentages aren't too high. A little explanation. I was thinking that all fairies learn a full set of healing skills (Healing, Status restore, Revive) regardless of class, just those in non-healing classes would get watered down versions, while those in healing classes would find thier spells to be more effective.
Magical detector probably has more implecations than just detection, but I'm not quite sure how to word it better, nor do I have room on the panel. I think it would give accuracy and dodging bonuses against those with invisiblity spells active, and maybe a few other thinks. And magic traps less hidden as well. More of a fuzzy radar type thing.

=Sheild Ace=
I was looking through the classes, and I didn't find one that was High Def-Low Agl. So I'm suggesting one. Instead of saying they use heavier armor than any other class, I decided it might be better if they just had the ability to equip two sets of armor. Offense wise they would be about average/slightly under average. But they'd definitely be the slowest class. Also uses shields offensively. I would think most classes would have a couple moves that would act as a can-opener, so I'm not worried the excessive armor and defensive skills would make them unstoppable.

=Nightmare Refinery=
If the echidna's have an immunity to Fear, then maybe there should be a class to give them a reason to make good use of it. They'd use scary looking spells and false summons, and many spells would be based on common phobias.

Rather than actually equiping weapons and heavier armor, they'd make them float around and send them at people, using a melee weapon both as a melee weapon, but at range as well. As for the temporary equipment spells, I figure the real reason why some classes can't use some armor is because its too heavy for them to use effectively, so a levatation spell would allow a mage to use them. The polter-knight would have a few other spells that act like melee fighter skills, and some random cool ones, like having a helm spit lasers or something. The sspells are temporary and would drain their MP at a constant rate, so out lasting them would be a definite possiblity. Again I'm certain they'd not be over powered, even with a bit of creativity with their powers might lead them to look overpowered.

Only thing to note is: Does the stone status work like the earlier FFs or what. Is there even a stone status?

Only others can wind them up for a reason, They'd be too powerful otherwise.

I like the ideas of Fairies, Shield Ace and the new Puppeteer.
Elementals can also be Battle Mages, I just haven't updated it yet. Apologies to CP_Lulz, who I didn't tell this to.
Yes, petrification is an official effect as is a buttload of other effects which I'll give out to anybody who asks. The Magic Shop idea will be among it, though, so be warned.

@ PoC That really doesn't affect me that much, due to the fact my character is a Shamin.

PM me characters, otherwise I can't accept them.

i like the clockwork, and fairy races, and the pupiteer, sheild ace, and nightmare dude classes

d-did i just see a prestige like class on that.

Refering to Polter knight.

As for the races i find the Mantis Shrimp to be intresting specie since they have a Unique look compared to the rest.

Clockwork would make a perfect ally and the Shield Ace is another perfect fit. (seeing as to how few defenisve classes we got)

The Polter Knight i'm guessing you got the name from the prefix for Polterguist which means ghost if my memory serves me right.

The Puppeteers seems kinda limited i mean sure they bring things which they have made to life but the same skill can be used to controll their opponent to a certain degree for an example instead of getting hit by a punch they can re-direct the punch to avoid getting hit. Of course this would require a high agility.

The Clockwork is way too overpowered. What's the point if another can just bring it back to life? Three Clockworks would be unstoppable.

That's IF someone can wind them up,it's easy to take down with the right strategy and the right amount of help besides i think they aren't the fastest in speed.

"Only others can wind them up for a reason, They'd be too powerful otherwise." as in a diffrent specie

Reply Phoenix of Chaos, November 2nd, 2009, 4:06 pm

AH... That makes more sense...
Still overpowered.

Reply Terminal Devastation, November 2nd, 2009, 4:50 pm

Wow... This is unexpected. I thought the reactions would be different.
Honestly, I thought the clockwork would be considered underpowered, but I see your point, PoC. I did infact mean another player/ally regardless of race could wind them, but its not an instantaneous action. I should have given them the constant health drain I thought of (a wind down), and maybe the smashing blow weakness that prevents a rewind, might have made them less overpowered. Oh well, I'll just have to submit them as an enemy type, minion or boss then. Eh it was worth a shot, I'd try fixing it, but really it was hard enough to come up with a unique ability for them as is.

(@ college) IF there were many authors here, I doubt there'd be any mantis shrimp, or clockwork characters for their lack of popularity. Still as you said, they could be used for bosses and enemies(In fact, I got an idea for a boss involving the clockwork race(well if this race is official) but i'll explain after college, because it isn't a fully developed idea at this moment in time).

Apart from that, all these race and class concepts are well thought out yo. Nice!
